I purchased this as something to play with for fun, but now I don't go out without having it with me! Its just the right size to fit into the pocket of my jacket or coat.

I also bought the USB cables package, which I highly recommend since it makes attaching to your computer easier (and in my case) keeps the camera flat while it recharges and uploads what I've taken that day.

You should note that the battery doesn't hold a charge very long and it should be checked often to be sure that you have a full charge so that you don't run out of power just when you need it. I bought a separate battery charger and some AA NiMH rechargeable batteries, and carry a couple fully charged batteries with me just in case the battery runs out before I've used all 120 minutes of built-in recording time. That has worked out very well.

Overall I'd recommend the Flip UltraHD to anyone. It is easy to use, fun send to friends as an e-mail etc. The color is great (even in moderate light) and the images are sharp and clear, plus you can select any frame and print it to save as a photo. I purchased this for my daughter at Christmas. She wanted a camera, and I thought this would be a quality camcorder, and take stills as well, which is what is really wanted in the first place.

WRONG!$&&T&(@%#! The wording in the product description reads: "...capture still photos from video..." Yea, right, and what a rig-a-ma-roll process to do so! Yuck and bahumbug. I would have NEVER PURCHASED this if I had realized this. Shame on me because I read reviews and really consider other people's opinions when making a purchase. How did I ever miss this? Buyer beware. Don't think this can double as a regular camera, it can not.

I decided to upgrade my original Flip camera to the Ultra HD and happy I did. Even though it's heavier than I'm use to with the original, but it's much better in quality. I no longer need to have a stack of batteries on hand, and the rechargeable battery it comes with is convenient. You recharge the battery by just inserting the USB drive into your computer's USB port. There is no need to remove the battery. I get crystal clear videos every time I use it.
